Dissertation project title: RETIREMENT AND ITS IMPLICATIONS IN THE ECONOMIC, FAMILY AND SOCIAL SCOPE OF MUNICIPAL PUBLIC SERVANTS IN THE CITY OF BELÉM-PARÁ

ABSTRACT: The present research project presents as a study proposal the following object: the implications of retirement in the economic, family and social scope of the municipal public servant of the city of Belém. Its general objective is to analyze the implications of retirement in the economic, family and social scope of municipal public servants in the city of Belém-PA, with specific objectives: to describe the economic impacts and their implications for municipal retirees from changes in social security legislation; identify the meanings of retirement and work from the perspective of retirees; identify the positive and negative aspects of retirement based on the perception of retirees; to identify the existence of municipal management strategies in dealing with the
implications generated after retirement. As for the nature of the research, it will be qualitative and as far as the research objective is concerned, it is of the exploratory type, having as a method of analysis the dialectical historical materialism, this method is based on the totality, which is not just the sum of all parts, apprehended logically and statically, but reality as a dialectically structured whole. To analyze the results, the Bardin Content Analysis method will be analyzed. The following methodological instruments will be carried out: bibliographic research, documental research, field study, interview, field diary. Bibliographic research will be present throughout the research and will serve to expand knowledge about the object of study, enabling the understanding of the analysis of the different positions on the research problem. In the field study, it is intended to use the semi-structured interview technique, a priori, with 20 retired municipal civil servants, aged 60 years or older, which will be of paramount importance to know their reality more precisely. It is understood that, emphasizing the discussion on the question of the implications of retirement in the life of the municipal public servant, especially in the midst of social security counter-reforms and the withdrawal of the rights of the working class, will be of paramount importance to promote theoretical debates and academic reflections, within the scope of social security, in society and in
promoting the creation of public policies.
