Abstract: This research entitled: “THE WORK OF THE SOCIAL WORKER IN SOCIAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES TO FIGHT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN: A study in the municipality of Ananindeua-Pará. It is a qualitative research, its research proposal, is placed in the perspective of analyzing the main contributions of the professional work of social workers in social assistance services aimed at combating domestic violence against women, in the municipality of Ananindeua- Pará, in view of the guarantee of their rights in the face of the situation of violence they experience. Its specific objectives are to analyze the main demands placed on Service Social, in these socio-occupational spaces and the answers given to them, it is also intended to know the socio-assistance services aimed at combating domestic violence against women, the ways in which women in situations of domestic violence have access to these services, as well as the limits and possibilities of the professional work of social workers in social assistance services will be analyzed, aiming to contribute to the confrontation of domestic violence suffered by these women, as well as the main challenges posed to the professional work of( o) social workers in these social assistance spaces, from the perspective of guaranteeing the rights of women in situations of domestic violence, in the municipality of Ananindeua-Pará. Thus, it will have Marxist social theory and the method of dialectical historical materialism as its theoretical-methodological basis. It will have as methodological technical procedures, the quantitative-qualitative approach by composing a series of steps. As a research design, it is intended to carry out a literature review of classic and contemporary authors on the research topic, as well as a documentary and empirical research, having as the locus of investigation the CREASs of the municipality of Ananindeua-Pa. Finally, as a technique for analyzing and interpreting the data, content analysis will be used, since the data obtained from the research will be systematized, analyzed, organized and presented in the form of chapters of the thesis, with a view to contributing to the confrontation of domestic violence against women.
