Title of Dissertation Project: "Drugs and Racism: A Systematic Literature Review

Abstract: This research project proposal resides in the relationship between the problem of drugs and the production of knowledge in Social Work, with its focus on the racial issue, in the context of the investigation, intending to answer the following question: How have the issue of drugs and the intervention of the State been approached in the production of knowledge of Brazilian Social Work? The general objective is to know and analyze the production of knowledge about drugs in Social Work. And as specific objectives the identification and analysis of the theoretical/methodological and ideopolitical perspectives present in the studies; the observation and analysis of the way race and ethnicity are treated in the context of the discussion about drugs and the verification of the way that the legislation about Harm Reduction influences the development of studies and research. The present research, of qualitative approach, is guided by theoretical and methodological procedures that are supported by the critical theory that considers the interpretation of inequalities through class and race structures that generate poverty and racism. The data survey will be carried out by bibliographic study, expressed by the Systematic Literature Review / RSL, in the annals of the Brazilian Congress of Social Service - CBAS. The choice of this database, considered the largest event of the category, gathers every four years, studies that may be considered relevant by professionals and students of Social Service. The research will have as periodic demarcation works published from the 12th CBAS occurred in 2007, one year after the promulgation of the Law no. 11.343, the law on drugs, until the CBAS followed by publications until the 16th CBAS, occurred in 2019, thus totaling a time cut of 13 years for the research.
