Title of the Dissertation: "THE WORK OF THE SOCIAL ASSISTANT IN THE POLICY OF URBAN LAND REGULARIZATION OF SOCIAL INTEREST IN THE STATE OF PARÁ".

Sumary: This dissertation analyzes the particularity of the work of the social worker in the land regularization policy in the state of Pará, in the following institutions: in the Strategic Management of Land Regularization (GEREG) of the Housing Company of the State of Pará; in the Municipal Land Regularization Program – Canaã Meu Lugar, in the municipality of Canaã dos Carajás; in the Terra da Gente Program, through the Belém Metropolitan Area Development and Administration Company and; in the Citizen Housing Project of the UFPA Land Regularization Commission. A is guided by the method of historical and dialectical materialism. The methodology was based on a bibliographic survey of academic productions in the area of Social Work and related areas, which deal with social work in housing policy and land regularization in Brazil and the Amazon. Documentary research was guided by laws and decrees about urban land tenure regularization; normative instructions for social work, in addition to reports, topographical plans, Social Work instruments and documents dealing with the respective programs and projects researched. Fieldwork research of semi-structured application of interview on October 14 referred to (fourteen) in the application period of October to 14 referred institutions, period of December2021. Among the research results, it is highlighted that the particularity of the work of the social worker in the urban land regularization policy of social interest of the referred programs and projects researched, follows a trend with regard to the professional work in the housing policy, responsible for the: social mobilization, identification of leaders, community meetings and execution of the social register. In addition, difficulties were also identified regarding the performance of interdisciplinary work between the teams, such as non-participation in the planning of actions and the regression regarding social participation in the current Brazilian conjuncture. The challenges of professional work are mainly due to the discredit of the population in the face of State actions and the non-identification of the tasks performed by the Social Service in the REURB actions, becoming a generic professional to all activities. In this way, it is emphasized that social work in land regularization faces several difficulties in the scope of instrumentality, interdisciplinarity and the need for continued education, focused on ethical-political commitment and the right to the city in the Amazon.
