Title: "TRAJECTORIES OF INDIGENOUS STUDENTS IN HIGHER EDUCATION: an interface between city and village"

Summary:The project intends to deepen the discussions about the trajectories of indigenous students who are studying Higher Education at the Federal University of Pará – UFPA and living in the city of Belém-PA. The research proposes to make an interface between the experiences in the city and in the territory of origin, the villages, of these students. For this, it aims to analyze the contradictions and challenges faced by indigenous higher education students when they come to live in the city of Belém, by identifying the difficulties of access and permanence that indigenous students face in higher education; mapping the difficulties in adapting to living in the city for the indigenous student; and understanding how these difficulties can interfere with the good performance and conclusion of the undergraduate course. In order to achieve these objectives, the research will carry out a methodology with an exploratory-descriptive nature, under the perspective of the historical-dialectical method, having as methodological procedures the bibliographic survey and semi-structured interviews with indigenous students living in the Guamá neighborhood.
