Summary:The research Project has as its theme aging and Social Work and the object of investigation is  “the work of the Social Work in Long Stay Institutions for Eldery People”. The general objective of which is to analize the work oh the social Worker with institucionalized eldery people, highlighting the social Working conditions and attributions adopted to meet social demands and needs. The method chosen for the research is Historical Materialism – Dialectical, based on Marx’s social theory. As for its classification, it will be descriptive, with a qualitative research method and a field study. And the instruments and techniques of collection and analysis of data will be the semi-structured interviewes, the interviewe script,
the participant observation, the field diary and the contente analysis. As for the ethical criteria, the research is guided by Resolution 510 of April 7, 2016 and also by Resolution 466 od December 12,2012.
