Title of the Dissertation Project: SUPERVISED INTERNSHIP AND SUPERVISION OF INTERNSHIP IN SOCIAL SERVICE: old and new challenges for the professional training of social workers in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic in Belém – PA.

Abstract: The present masters dissertation project aims to analyze the impacts produced by the pandemic period on the work of academic internship supervisors and on the supervised internship of students from Social Service schools in Belém - PA, as well as to identify the strategies of these institutions for the realization of the supervised internship in social work in the pandemic context. The study will have as theoretical-methodological contribution the Marxian social theory, in order to apprehend the essence of the researched object. Regarding the nature of the study, it is an exploratory research, with a qualitative approach. The collection of research data will be carried out through documentary research and semi-structured interviews with academic supervisors, trainee students of Social Work and course coordinators and/or internship coordinators in Social Work. The collected data will be analyzed qualitatively from the authors and legal and normative documents used as theoretical reference and through the content analysis method. The research is expected to contribute to the discussion on the topic supervised internship in Social Work, as well as to enable reflections and pointing out strategies for the consolidation and effectiveness of this teaching-learning process in contexts of crisis.
